From 'tafelkleed in tapisserie-weefsel met in het midden gestrooide bloemen,' a unique textile piece from 1650 from the Rijksmuseum, a 'lily of the valley' was selected for this print. The playful and repetitive placement of the lilies in a fresh two-tone colour creates a romantic, charming print. This muslin duvet cover is made from 65% cotton and 35% recycled cotton. Muslin is an extremely soft, breathable fabric that acquires a unique airy texture through double weaving. It is easy to use and does not need to be ironed, as this is when the texture of this quick-drying material comes out best. The recycled cotton is made from old clothes, textiles and cutting waste from factories. The collected cotton is first sorted by colour and then ground into small pieces. The fibres are then taken apart to be re-spun into yarn. To ensure quality and make the material stronger, the recycled cotton is mixed with new cotton.
