Ficaria toont vrij werk van fotografe Kreetta Järvenpää (geboren in 1974, Finland). Dit werk is gemaakt in het voorjaar, wat te zien is aan de keuze van gele en oranje tuinbloemen zoals een Narcis in volle bloei, en meer delicate bloemen zoals belvormige hangende Frittalaria’s en het subtiel speelse accent van fel blauwe ‘vergeet me nietjes’. Allemaal bloemen die ook in haar eigen tuin groeien, en daarmee een heel persoonlijk gevoel leggen in dit beeld. Waar Kreetta normaal gezien veelal voluminieuze bloemstukken fotografeert, is dit tafereel heel luchtig, wat het fris zonnige voorjaarsgevoel nog beter naar voren laat komen.
